If you are an experienced Electrical Analog Design Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Chanhassen, Minnesota location, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team of people to design and qualify innovative, industry-leading measurement instrumentation for use in the nuclear power industry and other highly specialized industries.
Emerson’s Rosemount Nuclear business based in Chanhassen, MN provides the broadest product portfolio of the highest quality, most capable pressure transmitters and accessories qualified for the harshest nuclear safety applications and has maintained an unparalleled level of customer and industry support for over 50 years.
- Design, development, and qualification of low power, radiation tolerant analog or digital electronics used in pressure transmitters.
- Sustaining engineering activities to support field investigations and resolve manufacturing or supply chain issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Define, perform, and document product development, equipment qualification, reliability, and regulatory compliance testing.
- Develop innovative solutions and conduct technical feasibility studies for new products.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, marketing, suppliers, sales, and customers on technical matters.
- Initiate and lead projects through the design and development process.
- Effectively communicate or present technical concepts, project status, and issues to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Eight (8) or more years of engineering experience
- Strong background in analog circuit design principles
- Occasional domestic and international travel required – up to 10%
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school
- Familiarity with nuclear equipment qualification (EQ), electrical safety and EMC compliance standards (IEEE, RCC-E, CSA, CE, and IEC)
- Experience in using electrical CAD development tools such as Cadence, Allegro and PSpice
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $130,00-$150,00 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
