JOB DESCRIPTION: Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform AF DCGS sustainment functions to include system administration, network, and software and mission support to an integrated array of SIGINT and IMINT systems. This position will interface with customers and associate contractors on a daily basis to troubleshoot and correct system problems, Debug HW/SW/SYSTEM problems and communicate corrective actions to various locations and site personnel. This position will analyze system performance, provide recommendations on system improvements, install and checkout system upgrades.
REQUIRED SKILLS: This position requires experience with large scale system maintenance, troubleshooting and support. Capable of completing assignments with attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy when providing support to system users. Extensive knowledge in one or more of the following areas is required, Solaris System Administration, Redhat Linux System Administration, UNIX shell/PERL/python scripting, Cisco network administration, Oracle or Weblogic. This position requires CompTia Security + certification.
DESIRED SKILLS: Familiarity with RF intelligence gathering, ASARS Sensor, analysis and dissemination, exposure to C/C++, Telecommunication Systems and Troubleshooting, Cisco Routers, ATM Switches, Bridges, and prior domain DCGS experience. Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks.
SECURITY CLEARENCE: EXISTING DoD TS/SCI IS REQUIRED.
Special Work Circumstances:
· Working rotating shifts is required.
· Must be able to lift 40 pounds and able to sit for long periods of time.
· Must be willing and able to get all inoculations, including the Anthrax Vaccine, COVID-19 Vaccine and the Smallpox Vaccine as required by the US military.
WORK SCHEDULE: Overtime, weekend work, nightshift, non-standard work week and extended shifts.
TRAVEL: Some travel may be required to support other locations during surge activities, installs or upgrades. Optional travel to OCONUS location is possible.
Required Education & Experience: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. May substitute professional or military experience for education. (i.e., Associate's Degree or Technical School plus 9 years of related experience, no degree plus 13 years of related experience.)
