Job Title: Pressroom and Assembly Manager 2nd shift Department: Production
Job Summary:
Oversee the production processes of the Pressroom, Assembly and Four slide. Manages and organizes the daily operations in manufacturing. Manages, directs, and implements operations strategies and objectives. Oversee supervisors, daily production, and efficiency to make sure that all plants are running smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Responsible for work assignments, plant resources, maintaining the program budget, setting a standard for 5S, participates in customer quality concerns and corrective actions, and assists with production quality complaints.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supports Pressroom, Assembly and Four slide in all aspects of the Production Process.
- Must make sure that health & safety procedures and environmental policies are followed, and company guidelines are implemented.
- Supports the LEAN Mission set forth by upper management and supports driving the activities in said department.
- Must ensure that the products produced meet quality requirements.
- Ensure that the products are produced per the production schedule.
- Assist in managing processes and information through PLEX ERP including MACH2 software.
- Assist in tracking competencies of associates and provides leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives. Make sure all new associates are lined up with Mentors for training on all aspects of the job.
- Establish and maintain a standard of performance for operational safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance targets. Work with Project Management on Optimization endeavors.
- Assist in conducting performance reviews for direct reports that are based upon quantifiable measurable results, and the company’s vision and priorities.
- Help develop and track improvement in reduction of planned hours.
- Supports the Plant APQP processes where required.
- Assist the Management Team in the development and execution of a manufacturing plan to drive continuous improvement objectives.
- Review and follow standardized work instructions.
- Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, and gloves as required to maintain personal safety and a safe working environment.
- All associates are responsible for the objectives stated in the EMS Policy and Quality Policy, and meet the standards set forth by QMS Policy and Objectives through sound judgement and environmental responsibility. In addition, associates may be required to play active roles in the day-to-day operation of individual EMS programs, quality procedures and work instructions.
- Champions the Code of Honor, policies and procedures, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
- KPI Reporting set forth by Management Team, SPM, SMED (Set up times) and any others deemed appropriate.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Uses ERP (plex) to monitor adjust and approve time clock records and manage time off management.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
At least Five years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Hours for this position are Mon-Fri 3:30pm - 2 am
