Job Overview:

Overview

Works with Maintenance team on all urgent and preventative maintenance activities for Press manufacturing area of the plant. The focus of work will be on repairing and maintaining mechanical process powered by hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The candidate for the role will need to be able to properly diagnose root-cause issues with metal stamping equipment, and fix the equipment to maintain continuous production activity

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

**

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment using electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment

  • Coordinates maintenance activities with production control, tool room and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of manpower, machine and equipment

  • Reviews and analyzes production, quality maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of production problems

  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variances with supervisors and other maintenance associates

  • Consults with production personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products

  • Coordinate with Tool Crib Attendants and Maintenance Planner on purchase orders for tools, parts, and equipment as needed

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and policies in the plant at all times

  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment and report out at the QOS meetings

  • Maintain excellent housekeeping habits (5S)

  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, and safety hazards

  • Actively participate in Production, 5Why/RCA, and other problem solving meetings

**Education/Experience/Certifications:

**

**Education:

**

  • High School Diploma or GED is required

  • Associates in Manufacturing maintenance, tooling, or related area is strongly preferred

**Experience:

**

  • Five (5) or more years of Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing environment

  • Five (5) or more years of auto-supplier, steel stamping/Press maintenance experience

  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Solid written, verbal and presentation skills
