**Press Room Supervisor

Location:** Edgerton, OH

**

Position Overview**

An established automotive manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Press Room Supervisor to join its facility leadership team. This role oversees shift production workers to ensure quality assemblies are produced safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. The ideal candidate brings a proven background in manufacturing supervision within a stamping or press room environment, combined with strong leadership skills and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities**

• Supervise, coordinate, and assign daily activities for production workers within the press department.
• Inspect parts to verify conformance to specifications, directing equipment setups and adjustments as needed.
• Recommends operational measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Conduct new hire orientation, employee training, performance appraisals, and attendance management.
• Maintain daily time and production records while enforcing company policies, handbooks, and safety standards.
• Conduct accident investigations and coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Tooling departments to resolve shop-floor issues.

Required Qualifications**

• 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a metal stamping, press room, or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to direct, motivate, and hold teams accountable.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production schedules, operating instructions, and quality requirements.
• Practical problem-solving capabilities and basic math skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety and OSHA compliance requirements.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
