**Job Summary

**

A well-established, high-volume west side metal stamper is seeking a skilled

Press Operator / Die Setter

to join our production team. This is a stable, union position offering top-tier benefits, excellent wage progression, and a collaborative work environment. We are looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who can not only operate high-volume presses but also handle efficient die setups and changeovers.

**Key Responsibilities

**Die Setter Duties:

**

Safely install, align, and secure stamping dies into production presses according to job specifications.

Set up and adjust press mechanisms, including shut height, stroke, and material feed systems.

Conduct trial runs and assist with first-piece inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards before clearing the press for production.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make precision adjustments during production runs to minimize downtime.

**Press Operator Duties:

**

Operate high-volume metal stamping presses in a fast-paced production environment.

Perform repetitive machine operations while maintaining strict attention to safety and quality.

Visually inspect finished parts for defects and ensure compliance with ISO standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.

**Qualifications & Requirements

**

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced factory or manufacturing environment.

Mechanical Aptitude:

Strong hands-on mechanical skills. If you successfully work on your own cars or repair small mechanical equipment, your skills will transfer well here.

Reliability:

Punctuality and excellent, consistent attendance are absolute requirements.

Industry Standards:

Familiarity with ISO standards is a major plus.

Screening:

Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening (We are a Drug-Free Workplace).

You should be proficient in:

• Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
• Metal Stamping & Forming (Progressive Die)
• Machine Setups for Production Runs
