Job Description

Previous printing press experience is required:

• - Flexographic printing – printing film and/or paper

  • Multi-colored press operator
  • Web fed printing machine operator

• Meets and exceeds machine production goals while ensuring consistent, high-quality press output.

• Oversees all press operations, including setup, production, and quality control of printed materials.

• Directs and trains press assistants, preparing them to run the press independently with minimal supervision.

• Manages complete job setup: plates, sleeves, ink matching, make-ready, anilox rollers, and film verification.

• Ensures print quality by monitoring copy accuracy, UPC codes, registration, and impressions.

• Maintains accurate production records, applies roll tickets/weights, and returns materials to proper storage.

• Reports damaged or worn plates to shift leadership for timely replacement.

• Proficient in web monitoring systems and thoroughly understands the make-ready process sequence.
