Duties:

The individual who functions in this position must carry out all of the functions associated with being a Machine Operator in our Fabrication / Plate Department. To qualify as a Machine Operator, an individual must be able to perform all of the following:

• Maintain each Press according to maintenance procedures and diagnose and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Possess the ability to set up and operate the CNC Press Brake, Mechanical Press Brake and the Whitney Plasma Punch
• Produce product as described in the shop order, set proper die clearance, proper punch grade and apply proper lubrication.
• Read shop product as described on the shop order.
• Detect when a tool needs to be serviced, set up a tool accordingly and determine and set slide and stripper settings.
• Requires ability to multitask efficiently as required and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:          

• High school diploma. 
• Must possess basic math and reading skills.
• Requires ability to read a ruler, set calipers, read blueprint and micrometer.
• 1 year of mechanical or related experience.
• Requires ability to lift 50 Lbs. unassisted.
• Standing for extended periods of time to a maximum of 12 hours.
• Stooping, bending, and stretching as necessary. Requires good hand to eye coordination.
• Regular attendance is required.
• May be assigned other duties as business needs require.
