Press Brake Operator

Location: Carol Stream, IL

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• 3rd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 PM – 5:00 AM

Pay: $24-$25 DOE

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating press brake equipment, reading blueprints, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake and fabrication equipment (Amada, Salvagnini, and manual machines)
• Read and interpret blueprints, material gauges, and tolerances
• Adjust machine settings, troubleshoot issues, and maintain program files and tooling
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and identify defects
• Verify materials, remove burrs and coatings, and move completed parts to the next workstation
• Complete production documentation and maintain inventory accuracy
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
• Communicate production issues to supervisors and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of press brake or metal fabrication experience preferred
• Experience with Amada, Salvagnini, or similar press brake equipment is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient with measuring instruments including calipers and tape measures
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
