Press Brake/Metal Fabricator

8PM - 6AM 

$21.60 per hour (includes $2.50/hour shift premium)

Are you a self-motivated, team player looking for a position that allows you to continue to learn and grow? SMC Metal is looking for a full-time, experienced Press Brake Operator to join our 2nd shift team. Experienced candidates are also welcome to join our First or Weekend teams, based on their availability.   

Starting pay is $21.60 per hour

Schedule:  

2nd Shift:  Mon – Thurs, 8:00PM – 6:00AM

Overtime: 20 Hours Per Month -  Your choice of 4 (5 Hour) or 2 (10 Hour) OT shifts per month

Position Description:

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the press brake to bend metal that conforms to the customer’s blueprint specification.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous fabrication experience preferred, but not required
• Analytical and mathematical skills to interpret layouts and blueprints.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems as they occur.
• Physical requirements – candidate must stand for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively.  Must have good balance along with hand-eye-foot coordination.
• Required to have their own tools (caliper, square, protractor, etc.)
• Must be self-motivated, team player and have good written and oral communication skills.
• This is an in-person position, regular attendance is required.

• Operate press brake machine for production fabrication.
• Set-up and troubleshoot machine as problems arise
• Hold all dimensions according to blueprint specifications.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
• Ensure quality parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
