Position Summary

The position sets up, operates, and maintains press brakes and other various specialized forming equipment.

 

Principle Accountabilities

  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions or equipment and notifies supervisor.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing).
  • Sets up, operates, and maintains Press Brakes and other specialized forming equipment; determines appropriate tooling and processes as related to the use of Press Brakes, including the use of specialized tooling for the purpose of forming, punching, embossing, cutting, and possibly other processes. Applies the forming equipment and any standard or specialized tooling to produce parts that conform to specifications.
  • Reads production drawings and manufactures products in accordance with engineering specifications. Utilizes the correct die for each purpose, selects programs from the controller menu or programs new parts. Establishes and maintains programs in the machine controls.

Position Requirements

  • Preferred Experience: Between 1 and 2 years.
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knows which die is best for each purpose.
