Position Summary: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Advanced set up and operation of press brake machines (both manual and Cnc). Duties include loading materials, set-up, (programming may be required if Cnc) and operation of machine, troubleshooting machine issues as well as basic maintenance. Maintaining a clean work area and equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Set up and operate manual press brake machines to meet print dimensions.
• Operate Cnc press brake machines, set-up tooling, load program and set machine parameters.
• Practice safe work habits at all times.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Inspect finished products and raw materials from time to time to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Record information such as the number of products manufactured and tested for quality.
• Material handling of raw materials and finished goods may be required.
• Must Keep work area and machine clean and organized.
• Participates in process improvement/Lean Manufacturing projects when assigned.
• Perform Machine Operation Troubleshooting
• Perform basic machine maintenance as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Education:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and minimum of 5 years of machine or automotive mechanic experience. A two-year degree a plus.

Experience:

• Press Brake operator experience is essential, metal stamping and Iron worker knowledge is a plus. Experience with automated equipment; must have a mechanical aptitude and advanced machine operation troubleshooting and math skills.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Understanding blueprints and operation sheets is a must.
