Job Overview:

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced and dependable Press Brake Operators to join our manufacturing team on multiple shifts. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and manual press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications. Candidates must have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
  • Select proper tooling, dies, and machine settings based on material type and thickness
  • Perform machine adjustments to maintain quality and production standards
  • Load and unload sheet metal materials safely and efficiently
  • Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot minor mechanical or production issues
  • Ensure all parts meet quality standards and tolerances
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA regulations
  • Assist with general fabrication and production tasks as needed
  • Keep work area clean and organized

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–3 years of press brake operation experience preferred
  • Experience with CNC press brakes such as Amada, Cincinnati, Trumpf, Bystronic, or similar equipment preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments accurately
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with programming CNC press brakes
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience a plus
  • Welding or fabrication background helpful
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience preferred

  • Metal Stamping & Forming (Progressive Die)
  • CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
  • Machine Setups for Production Runs
  • Shop Math Skills

Machines & technologies you'll use:

  • Press Brake (Amada, Trumpf, Cincinnati)
