Food manufacturing company in Newburyport, MA is looking to hire a Press Brake Operator to join thier team!

Essential Job Function:

• Set up and operate press brake machines and rolls to form metal parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to understand technical requirements and project specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job.
• Measure and inspect finished products using standard measuring instruments like calipers and tape measures to ensure they meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Foresight to anticipate project requirements and organize tasks accordingly
• Adaptable to fast paced environment
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Capable of using hand and power tools
• Able to be on your feet, bend, or occasionally climb short ladder for a minimum of 8 hours a day
• Able to lift / move 50 lbs.
• Willing to work minimum of 40 hours

Requirement Skills:

• 2+ years’ experience as a press brake operator

• Mechanical aptitude

• Previous experience working with large parts and stainless steel preferred

• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email)

• High School degree or equivalent

• Driven self-starter with a positive attitude

• Good interpersonal skills

• Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary
