Press Brake Operator (2nd Shift)
Location: Lancaster, SC
Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay: $19-$23/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will set up, program, and operate CNC hydraulic press brakes to manufacture precision sheet metal components for a variety of industrial products. The ideal candidate has experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, can read blueprints, perform machine setups, and consistently produce quality parts while meeting production goals.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC hydraulic press brakes for production runs
- Load existing programs and make minor program adjustments when needed
- Select and install the proper punches, dies, and tooling
- Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Verify bend sequences and machine settings before production
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Use calipers, tape measures, protractors, and other measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Produce precision parts from steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Minimize scrap, rework, and machine downtime
- Move materials throughout production using forklifts or other material handling equipment
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of CNC Press Brake operating experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience setting up and operating CNC press brakes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers and tape measures
- Strong understanding of bend sequences and tooling selection
- Ability to produce quality parts with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Preferred
- Experience editing CNC machine programs
- Experience working in a job shop or custom fabrication environment
- Forklift experience
Physical Requirements
- Stand for the entire shift
- Frequently bend, stoop, twist, and reach
- Lift up to 20 pounds regularly and heavier materials with assistance
- Work safely around machinery in a manufacturing environment
