SUMMARY:
TANN Corporation is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator with experience in sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
KEY DELIVERABLES (ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES):
Set up and operate press brake machines (manual and CNC-controlled)
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
Measure and inspect parts using calipers, protractors, and other precision tools
Adjust machine settings for material type, thickness, and required tolerances
Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment in safe working condition
Ensure accuracy and quality of fabricated parts
Work safely and follow all company safety guidelines and procedures
Collaborate with team members in the fabrication department to meet production goals
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience operating a press brake in a sheet metal environment
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
Strong knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, and bend allowances
Familiarity with precision measuring tools
Good math skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods
**Preferred: **
Forklift experience a plus
Experience with CNC press brake programming (e.g., Amada, Bystronic, Accurpress)
Welding or other metal fabrication skills
Experience working in a custom fabrication or job shop environment
2-5 years of experience of direct related welding/fabricating and insulating experience preferred.
Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator and Industrial Insulator
Minimum 3 years is the most ideal experience wanted.
Welding program diploma, job-related coursework, or equivalent experience is a plus.
OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.
Proficiency with welding techniques and knowledge of metallurgy.
Familiarity with industrial insulation practices and materials.
Strong mechanical aptitude and physical stamina.

Frequent exposure to dust, noise, and smells,
Employees must be in good general health with good mental focus, agility, balance, and vision (including close vision work, depth perception, and peripheral vision)
Pulling, pushing, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crawling, significant finger, hand manipulation, and standing for extended amounts of time.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move items weighing 50-75 pounds with either teammate or mechanical assistance.
Position will involve exposure to heavy steel fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly environment.
May have exposure to all weather and temperature variations.
