NOW HIRING: PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR 1ST SHIFT

Location: West Columbia, SC

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for a full-time opportunity in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake equipment to fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and customer specifications while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

-Set up and operate CNC press brake equipment.

-Manufacture metal components according to work orders, blueprints, and customer specifications.

-Perform spot welding, riveting, and nut insertion operations.

-Select and change tooling and fixtures based on production requirements.

-Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality standards are met.

-Use measuring tools, including calipers, height gauges, and tape measures.

-Complete order confirmations and maintain accurate production records.

-Perform routine maintenance and basic equipment repairs.

-Report equipment malfunctions and quality concerns to supervisors.

Qualifications:

-Associate's degree in a technical field preferred (relevant experience may be considered).

-2+ years of press brake setup and operation experience.

-2-3 years of CNC machining experience required.

-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

-Knowledge of shop mathematics, including fractions, decimals, and measurement conversions.

-Experience using precision measuring tools.

-Experience with Trumpf equipment is preferred.

-Previous welding or spot-welding experience is a plus.

-Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

-Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
