Brake Form Operator / Setup Technician (Press Brake)

Full-Time | Aerospace Manufacturing

Pay Rate: $21.00 – $27.00 per hour (DOE)

Fullerton, CA | In-Person

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Brake Form Operator / Press Brake Setup Technician to support precision sheet metal fabrication in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role involves CNC brake press setup, first article inspection, and production of high-quality aerospace components.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC brake press / press brake machines for first article and production runs

• Perform brake form setup, including punch and die tooling, back gauge setup, and forming sequences

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and GD&T requirements

• Produce precision sheet metal components to aerospace specifications

• Verify parts using precision measuring instruments and perform quality inspections

• Conduct first article inspections and support buy-off requirements

• Monitor part consistency, repeatability, and dimensional accuracy throughout production runs

• Adjust machine offsets and settings to maintain quality and compliance standards

• Communicate with quality, engineering, and production supervisors to resolve manufacturing issues

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of brake form / press brake setup and operation experience (preferred)

• Strong knowledge of sheet metal forming, metal materials, and manufacturing processes

• Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints, specifications, and GD&T

• Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)

• Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing (plus)

• Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently or as part of a manufacturing team
