Summary:
- The Pre-press Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of jobs in safe and efficient operations of the manufacturing processes and assisting in the daily operations. The incumbent will be involved in manufacturing of flexographic flexible packaging by assisting the Press Operator.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare film according to Production schedule.
- Update progress on the Production Schedule.
- Verify film and label quality by verify artwork lines meet specs, density, and registration.
- Manages filed films.
- Trimming and making folders for new customers.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories.
- Perform daily housekeeping.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, Email (Microsoft Outlook), and Internet.
- Ability to self-manage and prioritize.
- In-depth understanding of basic printing technologies
- Excellent time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail
Language Skills:
- English required; Spanish is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Position requires walking, standing for prolonged periods, occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Non-temperature-controlled warehouse, Non-temperature-controlled production floor, temperature-controlled office.
