Preparation Technician – Powder Coating & Industrial Finishing

$17.50-$22.00/HR based on experience
We are looking for a Preparation Technician to join a local and growing powder coating business in the Tampa area.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare parts for powder coating by sanding, cleaning, and tying components to racks
Operate power tools and apply chemicals with accuracy and safety
Perform physical tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, and working outdoors in heat, sun, and rain
Assist with loading/unloading products, forklift operation, and supporting the powder coating painter
Conduct weekly walkthroughs of production areas to identify issues or improvements
Follow safety protocols and maintain situational awareness in industrial settings
Engage with customers and team members professionally when needed
Track job progress using a mobile clock-in app
Requirements- Minimum 1 year of experience working outdoors in an industrial environment (required)
Experience in the coatings industry (preferred)
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in varied weather conditions
Strong problem-solving skills and manual dexterity
English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
