We are seeking an experienced Precision Welder on the Westside of Jacksonville to perform welding repairs and fabrication on gas and steam turbine components and other heavy industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and Stick (SMAW) welding processes, welding a variety of alloys, maintaining tight tolerances, and producing welds that meet demanding quality standards.
Pay: $24-30/hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Carbon and low-alloy steels
•Perform weld build-up, restoration, fabrication, and repair of turbine and industrial components.
• Grind, blend, contour, and polish welds to customer, engineering, and quality requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, repair procedures, and welding specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies and quality standards.
• Work closely with machinists, inspectors, and supervisors to ensure repair requirements are met.
• Perform preheat, interpass temperature control, and post-weld operations as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with gas turbine and steam turbine component repair.
• Experience welding turbine diaphragms, nozzle segments, combustion components, casings, rotors, and related equipment.
• Familiarity with liquid penetrant (PT), magnetic particle (MT), and other NDE inspection requirements.
• Experience with precision machining tolerances and fit-up requirements.
• Current AWS welding certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in industrial shop environments.
• Ability to safely operate welding, grinding, and material-handling equipment.
