California Faucets is looking to bring on a 2nd Shift Precision Racker. This role is based on site in our Huntington Beach, CA facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 2:15PM to 11:00PM.

Job Description/Essential Duties:

The Racker will prepare parts for the finishing process by placing parts on racks and/or baskets according to size/shape. He/she will rack product onto appropriate racks and then un-rack them into specified locations. This entails bending racking pins and wires to securely hold parts for processing. The Racker works in the finishing stage of the production line and is responsible for loading product into and out of the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) vacuum coating machines for processing.

Duties of the position include the following:

• Learning fixturing techniques for proper PVD processing
• Product handling, including properly fixturing onto racks

• Selecting racks according to size, shape, and number of parts to be processed
• Properly placing parts on racks
• Racking and un-racking parts per work order
• Visually inspecting parts to verify finish complies to specifications
• Using extreme caution with customer product and tooling to avoid damage

• Loading and unloading fixtured components from the coating machine to maintain production flow

• Maintaining traceability of customer property
• Completing paperwork/tags
• Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and following prescribed safety regulations
• Performing additional assignments per supervisor's direction

• Ability to work overtime as needed

Education and Experience:

• The minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate  
• Hands-on and working knowledge of mechanical and computer-controlled machinery
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing similar work in a related field such as Manufacturing, or a Machine Shop is preferred
• Experience in a vacuum coating field is a plus
• Knowledge of PVD Coatings is a plus
• Previous experience with plating or a related industry is strongly desired
