Classroom/Apprentice Curriculum

Company PAID Classes at Grand Rapids Community College Advanced Tech Center will start this Fall. However, can start working immediately or after high school.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operation of various machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce high-quality parts.
  • Support experienced machinists in troubleshooting and resolving machining issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance machining skills and knowledge.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machining equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of machining processes and tools is preferred but not required.
