SUMMARY

The Precision Assembler is responsible for the measurement and assembly of rotor subassembly components. Duties include measuring and checking dimensions, assembling rotor parts and laser welding.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Ensure subassemblies are measured and assembled to meet production goals, including cycle time, quantity and quality.
• Measure and verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring devices, including (but not limited to) calipers, micrometers and gauges. Fit parts together to ensure proper operation of subassemblies in final assembly.
• Operate laser welding equipment.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and drawings.
• Perform in-process inspection of parts to ensure manufacturing adherence to all quality requirements.
• Perform daily maintenance on measuring tools. Conduct routine inspection and flag upcoming required calibration as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace. Perform daily 6S activities to ensure organization and cleanliness of work area.
• Perform necessary transactions in ERP system to maintain accurate inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED or related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals
• 1-2 years’ experience in operating precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be authorized to work in the US

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $40,300.00 - $60,500.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
