Summary of Primary Functions: Directs and coordinate activities of support department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.

  • Reviews production orders/BOMs or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.

  • Plans support operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.

  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.

  • Reviews production and operating reports resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

  • Ensure specific operational performances and optimum utilization; Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Production Superintendent for actions.

  • Knowledge of precast, prestress, carpentry, warehouse operations, metal fabrications, welding fabrication and equipment operations, and be able to step in as needed.

  • Complies, stores, and retrieves production and support data; Run production and time/attendance reports for IFS; Run shop card reports.

Job Specifications or Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

Experience: 7 to 10 (+) years prior or related experience in precast, prestress, or concrete construction is required.

Supervisory Experience: 1 -2 (+) years required. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions.

Travel Required: Day travel 2 – 3 times per month. Overnight travel – less than 3 days per year.
