As a Pre-Press Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the pre-press processes to ensure that all files and materials are prepared accurately and efficiently for production. You will manage a team, coordinate with various departments, and ensure that all pre-press activities align with production schedules and quality standards for many of the world’s most popular playing Card Games, Trading Card Games, and Board Game brands in the world! 

 

What you’ll do as a Pre-Press Manager:

 

  • Oversee the preparation and modification of digital files, ensuring they are correctly formatted and ready for production. Ensure that all files meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Manage the proofing process to verify that all proofs are accurate and meet client and company standards. Coordinate with account managers, clients, and production teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Oversee packaging tooling design specifications, and purchases.
  • Supervise the creation of press plates, ensuring that they are produced accurately and efficiently. Oversee the calibration and maintenance of plate-making equipment.
  • Lead and mentor the pre-press team, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance and professional development. Schedule and delegate tasks effectively to meet production deadlines.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and consistency in all pre-press activities. Design and improve workflows and controls to eliminate human error.
  • Work closely with the production, design, and account management to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of any pre-press issues. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to manage expectations and provide updates.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve pre-press processes to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize workflow. Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Identify, train, hire, and sustain talent. 

 

We’re looking for a Pre-Press Manager with:

 

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a pre-press or similar role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of pre-press software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Artios CAD, ArtPro+, Automation Engine, etc.) and plate-making technology.
  • Excellent understanding of print production processes, file formats, and color management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Printing experience, desired.

Physical requirements and working conditions: 

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

 

  • Must be able stand and walk throughout shift, lift or move 35 pounds
  • Environment is climate controlled and indoors
  • This Pre-Press Manager position is located on-site in our Dallas facility
