Job Description

The Powder Coat Painter is expected to be able to stand for long periods of time, work in a hot work environment, and at a steady pace to keep up with the paint line and batch line painting. They must have the ability to lift 65 lbs., bend, twist, and kneel repeatedly while operating in a safe manner.

DAILY JOB DUTIES:

Daily job duties include inspecting raw materials for substrate defects, mask and plug threads, bolts, or non-painted defects. They must be able to use correct powder from inventory, log and record powder to inventory, communicate effectively with all teammates and be willing to cross train in all other departments.

ROLES and RESPONIBILITIES:

• Ability to identify substrate defects.
• Ability to operate and adjust powder controls.
• Ability to use powder coating techniques to coat parts.
• Ability to maintenance powder gun and powder booth.
• Ability to communicate with team members.
• Ability to identify powder by name or color codes.
• Ability to identify paint defects on finished parts.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE:

• 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
• Inventory management experience preferred
• Microsoft Office.
• Mechanical Aptitude

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to handle noise and dirt associated with shop floor.
• Take short walks in the plant daily to see work progress.
• Ability to travel when needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will take place in a Manufacturing setting with hotter temperatures (during summer months) environment.
