**PLC Technician / Controls Technician

We are looking for an experienced PLC Technician / Controls Technician to join our team in Magnolia. This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical and controls-related issues, supporting production uptime, and assisting with ongoing automation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related issues on production equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, machine diagrams, and control drawings.
- Troubleshoot digital signals from photoeyes, sensors, VFDs, and other control devices.
- Connect a laptop to PLC systems to diagnose issues and make minor PLC adjustments.
- Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, primarily PLC-5 systems.
- Respond to critical downtime calls and work quickly to restore equipment and production.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs with some mechanical troubleshooting as needed.
- Participate in ongoing maintenance and controls projects.
- Attend shift handoff meetings and prioritize work orders based on production needs.
- Use detailed electrical and machine diagram libraries to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
- Work closely with maintenance leadership and production teams to improve equipment uptime.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a PLC Technician, Controls Technician, Industrial Electrician, or similar role.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs, preferably PLC-5.
- Ability to connect a laptop to PLC systems for troubleshooting and make minor program adjustments.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and machine diagrams.
- Experience troubleshooting photoeyes, sensors, VFDs, and digital control signals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with mechanical troubleshooting when needed.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well with a team.
