Our client is seeking a PLC Technician to support manufacturing operations by programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated control systems and production equipment. This role is responsible for diagnosing and repairing PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, electrical systems, and automated machinery to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. The PLC Technician will work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability, support equipment upgrades, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5 + overtime when needed (average 40-50 hours/week)
Job Requirements
- Experience troubleshooting and programming PLC control systems, preferably Siemens brand.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, electrical systems, and electronic troubleshooting.
- Experience working with HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, relays, starters, and electrical networks.
- Ability to diagnose and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Experience installing, commissioning, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly to equipment issues.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Welding, fabrication, and mechanical maintenance experience are a plus.
