NPI Server Platform Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • This person will execute NPI builds and day to day activities in the factory
  • Drive technical issues to closure by working with Hardware/Software Engineering to identify, track
  • root case and resolve issues during NPI builds.
  • Will make sure firmware flashing process is free of issues to make sure NPI builds.
  • Qualify bleeding-edge and firmware technologies at component and platform levels.
  • Collaborates with different functions within Hyve to drive resolution to issues affecting NPI builds.

Qualifications:

  • BS ME, MS, CS, CE preferred or equivalent yeas of industry experience.
  • Deep knowledge of major server component architecture and design (motherboards, hard drives, RAM, CPUs, heat sinks, fans, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of major power related components (power supplies, PDUs, VRMs, etc.) and control interfaces (PMBus, IPMI, etc.).
  • Ability to troubleshoot x86-based systems; diagnose hardware and software issues.
  • Proficiency with administration of a range of operating systems, including Python, RedHat, SuSE, and Debian Linux-based distributions is a bonus.
  • Comfortable in a fast moving, small team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and process.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated.
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or 3+ years of related experience.

Pay Range: $72,000 - $85,000
