The Process Technician is responsible for performing activities of mold set-up/pulls, initiating process dial-in on new starts, troubleshooting plastic injection molding defects, and ensuring the machines are running according to documented processing specifications. The Process Technician is also involved in troubleshooting, process optimization, monitoring, and setting up auxiliary equipment and injection molding presses, and supporting the continuous improvement process. This individual is expected to perform job responsibilities in accordance with the company’s core values.

Essential Job Functions:
Mold Changeover:
Processing:
- Performs minor maintenance on the molds on an as-needed basis.
Confers with the supervisors, partner departments to coordinate activities and execute scheduled priorities.
Performs activities of other departments, as needed, including (but not limited to): Inspection Operator, Quality, Tooling as cross training permits and production necessitates for the good of the organization.
Enters data such as downtime information into IQMS system and views schedule / work orders as needed.
Assists co-workers in solving problems; supports troubleshooting efforts on an as-needed basis.
Communicates issues in a timely manner through the appropriate channels; provides feedback to tooling, maintenance, and other technical departments to facilitate effective assessment and repair of tools / equipment.
Maintains a clean work environment and work space through basic housekeeping duties (vacuuming, cleaning, organizing)
Works with safety-conscious mindset; follows company safety policies and procedures.
Perform job responsibilities according to the company’s core values.
Notifies Shift Supervisor of mold defects, machine issues, and safety concerns.
Regular and punctual attendance.
Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the success of the organization

Education, Training and/or Experience
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)REQUIRED -AND-
THREE (3) years related experience and or training
Manufacturing or plastics experience preferred.
Proficient knowledge and experience with numerous different sizes and types of molding machines (preferred)
Mechanical background is preferred.
Basic knowledge and understanding of injection molding tooling (preferred)
