Job Summary:
- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and automated systems to support efficient and uninterrupted production. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, with a proactive approach to equipment reliability and process optimization.
Must Haves:
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance within a plastic injection molding environment.
- Strong working knowledge of injection molding machinery and associated automation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Programming/Troubleshooting of Robotics (Fanuc) and PLC's (Allen Bradley)
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines (e.g., Engel, Milacron, etc..) and automation equipment (e.g., robotics, conveyors, pick-and-place systems).
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues in production equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot auxiliary systems including dryers, chillers, mold temperature controllers, and vacuum systems.
- Support mold changes and setups by ensuring proper alignment and function of mechanical and automated systems.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery or automation upgrades.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring equipment issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure work is performed in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
