Job Summary:

The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Special Processes Operator – Plating/Plasma for the 1st shift operations (Mon-Fri, 6:30AM to 3:00PM). Position opening/start date is currently 7/1/2024. This site currently employs 200+ total employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine requirements.
Prepare parts for coating operations.
Set up and operate grit blaster.
Set up and operate nickel plating and/or plasma equipment.
Nickel plate / plasma coat to specifications outlined in work instructions.
Inspect parts to verify conformance with specifications.
Complete required paperwork.
Maintain clean work environment
Training is provided on-site.

Basic Qualifications:

Technical aptitude and desire to learn new skills is essential to this role.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
High school diploma or GED
US Citizenship due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience within the aerospace industry.
Prior experience with specialized coating application or plating.
Fanuc robotic controls experience.

Additional Information:

Pratt & Whitney Springdale, AR is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
