About the Role:

The Plant Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This position is responsible for managing production equipment and personnel to meet production targets and optimize workflow. The Plant Supervisor leads safety audits and enforces OSHA safety regulations to create a secure work environment for all employees. They coordinate safety training programs and implement safety procedures to minimize risks and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Ultimately, the Plant Supervisor ensures that manufacturing processes align with lean manufacturing principles and inventory control standards to support operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and workplace safety regulations.
  • Proven experience conducting safety audits and delivering safety training.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and inventory control processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in OSHA safety training or related safety credentials.
  • Experience with production equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification.
  • Previous experience managing a team in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing management software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety policies.
  • Lead and deliver safety training sessions to educate employees on workplace safety procedures and best practices.
  • Manage and maintain production equipment, ensuring proper operation and timely maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize inventory control.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure materials availability and minimize excess stock.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate production and safety records and prepare reports for senior management review.
