What you will do

Supporting Johnson Controls Data Center Solutions business unit, you will act as the on-site / single point of contact project leader providing oversight for managing all projects within a specific client program. Oversight will include planning and executing of all assigned projects. You will work directly with all departments (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Purchasing, Operations, Logistics and Environmental Health & Safety - EHS) to deliver projects on time and on budget.

How you will do it

  • Delegate tasks to execute and fully complete assigned projects.

  • Coordinate communication with customer during all phases of the project.

  • Coordinate the work of subcontractors.

  • Prepare and present periodic program reviews with communication of top priorities, actions being taken to stay on time and on budget.

  • As needed, re-sequence and adjust timeline and budgets and modify scope documents.

  • Escalate any major issues impacting safety, cost, quality or delivery.

  • Perform other duties as required.

What we look for

Required:

  • University degree and 2 years of suggested minimum experience, or 2-year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong knowledge of general office procedures and norms

  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude

  • Meticulous records maintenance skills with the ability to maintain filing systems and basic databases

  • Superior telephone manners and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate with all levels of the organization

  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability

  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills

  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures

  • Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information

  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills

  • High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion

  • Travel and field visits to meeting sites (customers, suppliers, etc.)

  • Occasional shop environment, requiring adherence to safety policies and exercise of caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.

  • Ability to work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.
