OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Directly supervises 4-5 Team Leaders/Supervisors. Indirect responsibility for plant production workforce.
Responsible for all day to day manufacturing activities required to produce final product at the plant facility. Supports continuous improvement activities on the shop floor using lean manufacturing tools. Coordinates activities of production departments and ensures that all production goals are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. Works with supervisory staff to achieve production metrics, including productivity and on-time performance. Coaches and mentors team leader in matters regarding production employee performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Allocates and manages resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) to optimize production output with respect to delivery, quality and cost.
2. Leads teams in achieving goals in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and other plant goals.
3. Serves as a shop floor champion for lean manufacturing. Supports continuous improvement initiatives. Drives culture change on the shop floor.
4. Completes daily shop floor Gemba walks identifying opportunities for improvement and interaction with production team members.
5. Manages shifts by effectively utilizing team leaders and their resources.
6. Coordinates activities of various departments and/or shifts to ensure that all areas are working on the appropriate tasks.
7. Contributes to strategic operating, capital, and other plans to improve effectiveness of operation.
8. Adjusts plant capacity to meet customer demand.
9. Maintains effective working relationship and communication with all departments and sees to the professional development of all assigned personnel.
10. Is extremely visible on the production floor sometimes spending more than 50% of the shift in the Plant.
11. Ensures departmental compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley as well as other internal controls.
12. Establishes budgets and operating targets.
13. Analyzes operational performance and develops priorities for improvements.
14. Responsible for all aspects of shop floor management in assigned areas.
Responsible for driving Safety Performance in the Plant to achieve and maintain Gold Status (Goal of No Recordables / No Lost Times)
· Responsible for performing 2 Behavior Based Safety Observations monthly
· Ensures Safety Training is completed as required for Direct Reports

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $89,000-$110,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
