Plant Operations Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily functions of our manufacturing plant. Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the plant daily, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
- Manage day-to-day plant operations to maintain consistent, high-quality production standards.
- Lead and oversee plant personnel, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure operational excellence.
- Safely batch concrete and load trucks according to order specifications, maintaining high efficiency and quality standards.
- Enter material tickets into the back-office system accurately and promptly.
- Prepare daily operational packets, including batch tickets, material tickets, daily truck sheets, and other relevant documentation.
- Uphold all safety, environmental, and operational policies without exception.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture that aligns with the company’s core values.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in plant operations, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
- Ability to operate batching equipment and load trucks efficiently.
- Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with back-office systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or supervisory training is a plus.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4-6 years of related experience in concrete batching, plant operations, or a similar production environment.
- Possess ACI Level I Certification or can obtain ACI Level I Certification within six months of employment.
- Possess SCDOT Concrete Technician – Batching Certification or can obtain SCDOT Concrete Technician – Batching Certification within six months of employment.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment, methods, and safety.
- Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Prior supervisory / management experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with drivers and customers.
- Superior organizational skills and ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Eagerness to achieve and maintain a level of excellence in customer service.
- Good aptitude for coordination, planning, and scheduling.
- Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in high pressure situations under tight deadlines.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push, pull, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, reach, and operate a computer keyboard.
- Ability to safely climb up and down stairs and/or ladders.
- Ability to work primarily outside, with exposure to the extremes of hot or cold weather.
