Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position has comprehensive responsibility for all functional areas of both Smart Chicken plants to include the efficient operations of two production shifts, maintenance personnel safety shipping receiving sanitation scheduling quality and process improvement. Other specific areas of responsibility include administering contracts with service providers; motivating managers to provide guidance and programs to enhance the skill level of their Team Members; resolving issues related to the quality of incoming and outgoing goods; reviewing cost and performance data to help determine areas in need of improvement. This position also requires compiling a weekly efficiency report and obtaining approval and executing all capital improvements for the facility. This position is responsible for food safety, food quality and legality. Other duties include initiating discussion and implementation of improvement in all phases of production, assisting in identifying, evaluating and correcting problems and performing other duties as the need arises.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Broad knowledge in a general or technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: 7 plus years of relevant experience preferred. Previous successful experience at a similar level of responsibility or demonstrated preparation for a similar level of responsibility. Background in poultry production is preferred from live to second processing.

Computer Skills: This job requires General knowledge of computer programs used in the operation of the production plant like Microsoft office applications Word Excel Power Point outlook prefer working knowledge of SAP systems.

Communication Skills: Above average ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Supervisory: Responsible for managing several groups of personnel who perform diverse tasks and activities in several departments.

Travel: Travel between the two plants, approximately 50 miles apart, 4 to10 trips per year.
