Key Responsibilities (Top 5-6) 

• Manages discretionary and required spending and approves and codes invoices for purchases made
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods
• Plans work force utilization workflow and work pace for maximum efficiency
• Provides estimates for order completion, materials, supplies, and equipment needs
• Estimates production times, staffing requirements and related issues for management decisions
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high standards for food safety, quality, and operational efficiency

Position Requirements:

• Education and experience preferred: BA or BS in Management or a related field from four-year College or university
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in plant management, preferably in food manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, etc.)
• Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a large workforce
• Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
• PCQI and HACCP certified
