Primary Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for daily plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable manufacturing performance.
- Drive a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
- Manage plant financial performance, budgets, inventory, and operational resources to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and execute operational strategies that support production goals, customer commitments, and long-term growth.
- Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and employees through coaching, performance management, and employee development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish facility goals, capital investment plans, and operational priorities.
- Champion Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to improve productivity, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
Job Duties
- Oversee all manufacturing, production scheduling, maintenance, inventory, and facility operations.
- Ensure production plans are executed efficiently while meeting customer delivery expectations.
- Maintain compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), Quality, and corporate policies and procedures.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
- Manage facility budgets, inventory levels, and cost reduction initiatives to achieve financial targets.
- Ensure equipment, facilities, and production assets are properly maintained and operating efficiently.
- Participate in management reviews and support quality management systems and applicable certifications.
- Evaluate capital equipment needs and provide recommendations for facility and equipment improvements.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration across production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous Plant Manager experience within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time for training, leadership meetings, and other business-related activities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing plant operations, production teams, and manufacturing performance.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, cost controls, and operational metrics.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of production planning, machining, assembly operations, inventory management, and ERP systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
