Ocean Spray Cranberries is looking for a Plant Manager to join our Plant team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing one of our manufacturing plants. You will evaluate plant performance, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions to ensure effective operations. You will hire, manage, and develop operations staff, providing opportunities for professional development and initiative for leadership growth. Additionally, you will communicate with corporate staff on plant status, build positive labor relations, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

A Day in the Life...

• ​​Analyze, evaluate and manage various plant performance indicators, such as line efficiencies, budget variance and product quality measures​. • ​​Hire, evaluate and develop subordinates; provide subordinates opportunities to exercise judgment and initiative​. • ​​Provide feedback to subordinates on performance; correct deficiencies and highlight strengths​. • ​​Create and maintain positive Labor/Management relations. Evaluate grievance activity to determine what corrective action is necessary​. • ​​Participate in labor contract negotiations as member of management team​. • ​​Communicate with local and Corporate staff on operational status; recommend improvements in techniques and methods of operations, developing rationale and implementation strategy. Coordinate implementation​. • ​​Provide information and advice to Sr. Manager, on plant operations on routine basis; represent plant as needed​. • ​​Participate in plant and corporate projects, assuming leadership roles as directed or appropriate​.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree required and 10 years’ experience • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment required • Knowledge of EHS, FDA/USDA and SQF requirements preferred • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred • Able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer focus • Strong business acumen and leadership skills • Ability to influence, provide leadership, work in a team environment or independently • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite and other computer programs as required

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)
