Plant Manager

• Location: East Haven, CT
• Hours: Mon-Fri core business hours
• Industry: Printing and Flexible Packaging - 24/7 High Speed Operation
• Pay: $100,000-130,000 DOE

Overview;

The Plant Manager will oversee all facets of plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing performance. This leadership role is critical for driving continuous operational improvements, maximizing productivity, and upholding the company’s reputation for precision and engineered excellence.

Responsibilities;

• Full ownership of all plant operations, including production, scheduling, materials, inventory, shipping, and facility maintenance
• Lead and develop supervisory, administrative, and production teams, including staffing, training, and employee relations
• Plan and execute production schedules to meet customer, quality, and delivery requirements
• Monitor operational KPIs including throughput, waste, labor efficiency, overhead, and cost control
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance
• Oversee quality assurance programs for incoming materials and finished goods
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOL, EEOC, and other regulatory requirements
• Troubleshoot production issues and lead root-cause problem solving
• Manage installation and start-up of new equipment and process upgrades
• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports

Qualifications and Experience required;

• 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a plant or operations management role
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Operations, or related field)
• Experience in printing, packaging, or related manufacturing environments strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and modern quality assurance practices
• Proven track record implementing continuous improvement and process optimization programs
• Solid understanding of labor, safety, environmental, and employment regulations
• Strong business systems capability (MRP, production planning, inventory control, Microsoft Office)
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
