POSITION SUMMARY

Leads the site to exceptional customer satisfaction and operational results through a disciplined focus on a high performance employee ownership culture.

Develops and deploys strategies in four quadrants of operational excellence: culture, skills, technology, and systems to achieve continuous year-on-year measurable improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Teams (SQDCT).

Acts as a force multiplier by develops a pipeline of high potential leaders for the future.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  


Lead the Site Leadership Team (SLT). 

  1. Follow the Advantage framework, balancing healthy and smart behaviors.
  2. Define what’s most important now, the Rally Cry.
  3. Establish and achieve defining objectives.
  4. Agree upon and model team norms – how we behave.
  5. Achieve business plan and market strategy goals in the context of the Rally Cry.


Lead the site to excellence in safety, environment, and wellness.

  1. Create a culture of continuous improvement in safety, environment, and wellness.
  2. Set and achieve safety, environmental, and wellness targets.


Lead the site to achieve Quality excellence.

  1. Ensure regulatory compliance
  1. Drive a culture that embraces quality as a means for improvement, not minimal compliance
  1. Set and achieve quality targets


Lead the site excellence in Delivery on customer commitments.

  1. Listen to the voice of the customer to understand and document all requirements for product design quality, delivery, cost, and performance.
  2. Achieve operational excellence in systems, technology, skills, and culture to delivery on customer requirements.
  3. Distinguish the site in the eyes of the customer with Wow!-level service that builds on Web’s core attribute of customer intimacy.


Lead the site in creating and delivering above market financial / cost results.

  1. Establish budgets and forecasts that stretch the organization for continuous improvement and establish a basis for long-term competitiveness.
  2. Monitor financial performance metrics (both income statement and balance sheet) and make adjustments to achieve or beat targets.
  1. Teach employee owners to understand how Web makes money and to find ways to reduce waste, save costs, and improve margins.


Build a high performance employee ownership culture.

  1. Establish an infrastructure of employee participation and engagement with elements of

Develop a pipeline of next generation leaders to sustain the growth of Web Industries.

  2. Identify high potential employees and challenge them with stretch assignments.
  3. Directly supervise and develop:
    1. Engineering Manager
    2. Value Stream Managers / Leaders
    3. Facilities Manager
  4. Indirectly supervise and develop (with the corporate function lead):
    1. Human Resources Business Partner
    2. Site Controller
    3. Quality Manager
    4. Supply Chain / Planning 


 

Additional REQUIRED Qualifications/Skills:  

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or equivalent relevant experience

10 years’ experience in leading a manufacturing organization in a regulated industry where a high degree of qualification and documentation is required. 

Success in leading an organization to achieve year-on-year improved results using lean, six sigma, continuous improvement, and change management processes. 

Working knowledge of ISO, FDA, GMP, and Risk Management.

Knowledge of business processes: budgeting, ERP, production planning, inventory management, capital projects, and human resources.

Ability to visit customers and suppliers as required.     This requirement will include travel and overnight visits. This requirement will include travel and overnight visits.

Proficiency computer skills, ideally using Microsoft Office products, such as, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
