Come join us at Pure's Food Specialties. We are a fast paced and growing manufacturer of snack food products. Our facilities use state of the art equipment in the high-speed production of cookies, crackers and other types of snack foods working with a wide variety of clients. As Plant Manager, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations on the plant floor while ensuring the workplace is operating safely meeting and exceeding production and revenue targets.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor all operations and processes, ensuring standards are met
- Prepare operating reports and budgets, ensuring targets are met
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety regulations
- Ensure all compliance needs are met
- Oversee daily floor operations identifying and troubleshooting any issues for resolution
- Develop strategies to increase productivity and production
- Oversee all shipments, incoming inventory, and storage operations
- Optimize productive time for employees by eliminating unnecessary processes
- Practice conflict resolution among departments and employees
- Report and track expenses to reduce costs
- Analyze production metrics and data to determine areas to improve
- Ensure the plant is adequately staffed and trained
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bilingual Spanish preferred (speaking / reading / writing)
- Experience: 3 years' previous experience as a plant manager, supervisor, or related position, Highschool diploma required. Additional education preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Strong management skills with the ability to supervise multiple teams
- Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
- Encouraging team and staff; able to mentor and lead
- This position works in a manufacturing facility and requires standing, bending, climbing and walking 80% of the time
