Responsibilities

  • Research, order, and maintain necessary supplies to support assigned work and projects.
  • Uses mechanics’ tools; wrenches, ratchets, sockets, hack saw, tape measure, and screw driver
  • Performs operations of major pieces of plant equipment
  • Uses mechanical skills to identify and correct minor mechanical issues with equipment
  • Performs stick welding and uses cutting torch
  • Understands and interprets drawings or sketches
  • Uses electrical troubleshooting skills to identify and correct minor electrical issues with equipment
  • Uses voltmeter to perform basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Understands the basic principles of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Understands lubrication principles
  • Understands and operates electric and LPG/Gas forklifts
  • Correctly completes work order forms
  • Correctly completes inventory forms
  • Follow 6S policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to use job-appropriate tools
  • Proficiency in investigating, deducing and recommending corrective actions for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
