Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented
Plant Janitor
to support the cleanliness, safety, and organization of our manufacturing facility. This long-term temporary assignment offers the potential for future full-time employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production and office areas, supporting facility upkeep, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness throughout production, warehouse, office, and common areas.
- Perform routine janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Organize and maintain the parts room, ensuring materials are properly stored and easily accessible.
- Complete light facility maintenance tasks such as installing signs, shelves, and other fixtures.
- Operate power washing equipment to clean floors, equipment, and exterior areas.
- Perform periodic commercial carpet cleaning.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies; notify management when inventory requires replenishment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with additional housekeeping and facility support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized facility.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred Skills
- Forklift operation experience (preferred but not required).
- Experience with power washing equipment and commercial carpet cleaning.
- Basic maintenance skills and experience using common hand tools.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial facility.
Education Requirement
High School Diploma or GED Required
