Job Description

Our client is seeking to add a **General Manager **to their team. In this role, you will be responsible for full site management of a feed mill-like manufacturing facility. **QUALIFICATIONS

**

• 5+ years of experience in the **management **of a **manufacturing facility **is required.

  • This experience must include full site responsibility for an entire manufacturing plant.

    • This includes Profit & Loss, production, maintenance, plant grounds upkeep, and personnel decisions such as hiring, developing, disciplining and terminating employees.

  • The client is looking for someone who is experienced (5-10 years minimum) at reporting only to management not at the plant level like a CEO or VP.

  • Must have3-5 professional references. References must be those you reported to as a plant/general manager.

• Experience leading a plant like a business owner.

• Tenure at past companies must be 5-10 years in length at minimum. Our client is looking for someone with lengthy tenure and WILL NOT accept multiple years of 1-2 years working history at previous employers.

  • The only exception that will be made is for someone who can exhibit position growth and you must have references to support short job tenure.

• Bachelor's degree is desired.

**RESPONSIBILITIES

**

• Provide overall **hands-on management **of plant operations, **transportation **and customer service.

• Serve as a positive, motivating leader of a diverse team of managers and hourly team members.

• **Establishing **and **sustaining preventive **and predictive maintenance programs.

• **Planning **and **oversight **of plant **projects **and repairs.

• **Ensure compliance **with all health, safety, environmental and regulatory policies and permits.

• Provide **weekly **and **monthly production **and **financial reporting **as required.
