**Plant General / Finishing Operator – Strongsville, OH

**

**Pay: $17.00/hr

**

**Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

**

**Job Type: Contract

**

**Position Overview:

**

The Plant General / Finishing Operator plays a key role in the production process by performing a variety of manufacturing and general labor tasks. This includes operating equipment, assisting with production setups, inspecting products, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

**Key Responsibilities:

**

• Perform all stages of fabrication and finishing, including cutting, shaping, sanding, assembling, coating, and finishing wood products

• Operate machinery, hand tools, and UV equipment safely and efficiently

• Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects and ensure quality standards are met

• Verify product dimensions and specifications during production

• Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and production adjustments

• Support production operations and relieve operators as trained

• Perform general labor duties such as cleaning, labeling, painting, and pallet handling

• Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of the work area

• Follow all safety procedures and consistently use required PPE

• Assist with basic equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks

**Qualifications

**

• Previous experience in manufacturing or general labor preferred

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment

• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting 

**Physical Requirements

**

• Ability to stand for extended periods (2–3 hours at a time)

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

• Ability to climb stairs and perform physically demanding tasks

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
