General Summary – Richmond Controller (F)
The Plant Controller, Manager owns and directs all financial functions for the manufacturing site and is a key business partner to Plant Manager and Staff and the broader Supply Chain Finance team. The Plant Controller responsibilities include:
Partnering with plant staff to execute and deliver annual operating plan
The development of operating plans, forecasts, and financial analysis and reporting.
Directing timely and accurate financial closings.
Driving system of internal controls and ensures general ledger accounts are correctly stated and classified, and that financial reporting is prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
The Plant Controller interacts with multiple cross functional team members both plant and corporate levels.
Principal Accountabilities
Participate as a key business partner to Plant Management team, contributing to plant strategy development and execution of annual plans that drive YoY improvements.
Directs and manages all financial and accounting functions for the plant. Leads annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and the management accounting/reporting process. Reviews and advises the management team on all financial/budgetary requirements and develops financial goals in partnership with plant and corporate leadership. Ensures that plant goals and initiatives are developed in line with company values, strategic goals, and business plans.
Lead plant/corporate Enabler (cost savings) programs and plant teams toward driving YoY productivity improvements.
Provides financial leadership on all aspects of plant supply chain management. Effectively communicates financial risks and opportunities to plant management and corporate.
Reviews control procedures over accounting and financial activities. Provides guidance to ensure that internal accounting controls are in place to protect company assets. Ensures an adequate system of internal control is maintained, and that general ledger accounts are correctly stated, maintains SOX compliance.
Oversees preparation of the plants financial reporting. Analyze and report manufacturing efficiency variances and determine corrective action requirements. Ensures items are correctly classified and all reporting is prepared in accordance with GAAP.
Drives strategic business analysis that includes short and long term value creation
Proactive financial leader who provides guidance and mentoring to plan staff on all financial aspects
Job Specifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance
Years of relevant experience: 5+ years required
Manufacturing & cost accounting experience strongly preferred
SAP experience preferred
Strong ability to partner with all levels of the organization
Data analytics capabilities
Experience with Microsoft Office 365
Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$111,300-$160,000Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
