Manufacturing Controller / Plant Controller

Hazleton, PA | Full-Time | On-Site

Silgan Closures is seeking a Manufacturing Controller / Plant Controller to lead accounting and financial operations for our Hazleton, PA facility. This high-impact role oversees cost accounting, manufacturing finance, inventory control, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and operational analysis while partnering directly with plant leadership to drive business performance.

What You'll Do

• Lead plant accounting and cost accounting activities
• Manage month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating plans
• Maintain standard costs and Bills of Material (BOMs)
• Analyze labor, material, overhead, inventory, and manufacturing variances
• Manage physical inventory and inventory reconciliation processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Partner with operations leaders to improve plant performance and profitability
• Supervise accounting and administrative functions

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, or plant finance experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP, inventory accounting, and financial reporting
• ERP system experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to influence decisions across finance and operations
